Erna Vay Balentine Ringo
Born July 8, 1938 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Jack and Era Balentine, Erna Vay graduated top of her class from Dewey High School. In lieu of a full math scholarship, at 18-years-old she moved to Los Angeles, California which was her home for almost 40-years. In addition to raising a family, she used her natural creative genius to design and remodel several homes in the South Bay beach area of Southern California.

An avid community volunteer, she returned to the workforce as a computer manager with Digital, and then a production company specialist. She had a strong sense of self and community involvement. She volunteered with several agencies including a suicide hotline operator, a metaphysical book store, writing an HOA newsletter, and helping to organize and operate the Unity of Houston book store.
Always a friend, incredibly supportive and well loved by friends and family alike. She was a natural artist whether expressed in a painting, creative project or her green thumb where she was able to grow anything with water and love. Graced with a natural sense of beauty and often clothed in purple hues, she was passionate about people and causes, including being an amazing empathetic friend to many, always giving of her time and a free ear.
At her 40-year high school reunion she reconnected with her first high school love, married and relocated to Houston, TX and lived happily ever after with her soul mate for more than 27-years until her passing on December 18, 2024.
She is survived by her loving husband Frank Ringo; her two children Kera Moseley and Craig Moseley; three step-children, Julie, Nancy and Steve; four grandchildren, Dawson, Ethen, Madison and Jaxson, four step-grandchildren Clayton, Ashley, Jack and Evan and a step-great grandchild Daisy.
